Does anyone know what's going on in the development front? Pierre seems to be quite absent as of late. I see more people migrating to Zoot from Ultra Recall & the Ecco community. I'm happy for Tom Davis who seems to have a constant presence & loyal following but frustrated for what it means (or doesn't mean) for InfoQube.

Hi Jan,

I'm sorry that you feel that the development is slow. I'm working hard on the next release. A few bugs required some code reorganization and I'm testing it right now.
Migrating to a new, faster, server also took some time.

A few news, hot off the press:
  1. InfoQube will soon have built-in Pivot Table support. Users will no longer require a license of MS Office to use this feature. Demo here.
  2. While in Beta, InfoQube personal licenses are now free. Professional licenses are now just $50. Users who previously donated $50 or more will have their license migrated from personal to professional. All users are encouraged to ask for their free personal license (1 per user).
HTH !

Hi Pierre,

Thanks for your response but I am sorry to say that I really don't see the kind of development / activity I would (selfishly & practically) like to see here nor in your latest post however wonderful IQ is and how supportive you are & have been for all us users.

InfoQube may be(come) the greatest swiss army knife in the PIM world & while I hope it does finally fulfill whatever dream you have for it, I hope it doesn't miss the marketplace in the meantime. I don't mean to sound like a nagging wife or "Debbie Downer" but it is how I see it.

All I know is that I feel strongly that -- IMO -- something is missing in the development equation being applied to the InfoQube project.

Simultaneously, I also believe Google is now moving to cut off the ability to pull / sync to google products, probably the start of moving Google products into a pay to play scenario, i.e. a modest monthly charge for all Google products in a package: mail-calendar-docs-drive-maps, etc.  This to service Google / Motorola / Nexus products coming to a Google store near you.

I have to figure out what I want to do going forward & prepare for it; whether it is to remain with InfoQube, despite my frustrations/disappointments, or migrating to another PIM / Information client which is more in line w my expectations (if there is such a thing :-)

Respectfully stated,
Jan

And let's not forget their new music service. IMO they are going to be the AMAZON of all things data.

Pierre, You asked us to Vote for features (see below). By FAR (2 to 1) sync w Google calendar & completing all calendar work was a priority. Yes, it's your choice but why ask us to vote if the priority becomes meaningless?  Sorry, if I sound bitter.

i don't see any corresponding new calendar appt entry fields, Ex: type of appt would be helpful so I could create grid will pending and calls, etc
