 Email to IQ is a neat feature. It allows for a different way of sending info into your IQBase. You can use this anywhere.
In this case, the info will appear in your email sent items and become searchable (I.e. through GMail for example)

 Thanks, Pierre. I understand what you wrote (I use the ability to write to IQBase) but in this particular case, I don't get it.

The idea is that you'd have the info stored both in IQ and your e-mail account ; i.e. since the  note is sent to/through your e-mail account Your e-mail should be preserved in your account, even if you also get it in your IQ base. This could be useful since some (most) e-mail services allow online access; that  means : online access to some of your data, without having to open your own IQ base. 
Well, that's what I understand.
