OK but I hope this is going to be simplified somewhat. Maybe it's just me but that seems like a lot to do for a simple export. OTOH I don't want to be whining about something that I'm just not used to. Someone straighten me out. Is this un-finished business or just another approach which I should get used to/
I'm not worried cause Pierre is being kept under pressure that way & realises it's a priority for most people
Also, you were asking about file format elsewhere but it's relevant here too

Q28. What type of data storage does SQLNotesuse ?
SQLNotes' current database backend is based on JET 4.0 (.mdb). It's an open database format allowing for easy access of your information by other programs (encryption and password protection is available to protect your valuable information if desired). It also allows for huge storage capabilities: 2 GB or millions of items and properties. There are plans for an SQL Server backend.
Not to be cute, may I ask like what other programs? This question is based soley on my ignorance rather than an expression of frustration or sarcasm.
For example, I have a lot of data in UltraRecall Pro. I can certainly import URp outline items into IQ but that's only half the story with URp because each item is linked to a data window where there may be a lot data or there are forms that have space endless notes. Apparently this linkage is non-importable.
Pierre is aware of this but the point for me is that URp can export a lot of formats as well but here I am with an export possible from URp but no suitable import available for IQ. I'm not sure if this would also be true going in the opposite direction.
Moving data between simple outline programs is a no-brainer (easy for me to say) but most of the CRIMP programs that are worth anything usually are more than that. Zoot may be an exception & might be compatible with IQ.
