1- "A:" the duedate field of the item will be assigned today's date and time upon creation of next task action
2-" E:"  Upon removal of next task action (I don't use that so not sure of the name) the duedate field will be emptied.

E: means "upon erasing/removal of data do : "
A: means "upon addition of data do :"

In these cases : duedate = something...

I think this is what confuses me....what the heck is the 'next task action'?  Like what? Example? Is this part of GTD? How does user implement / use this function?

TIA

Still don't know what it means. And I don't know what "touch" in grid context menu means  either.

Dear "Curious in Ridgefield"

touch you will find via search - it's in -- link to nonexistent node ID 90 -- and in -- link to nonexistent node ID 130 --
[edit] - mind you I dont really understand the explanation :( .  "When you have equations (either row or column), and you change a value, dependant cells are updated. When you "touch" a cell, it does the same thing, except that you don't need to make any changes, it updates dependant cells"
Query - why would they need to be updated if there's been no changes made?[/edit]

but no joy with
> next task actions a:duedate=int(now) | E:DueDate=
