If I drag on an event in the Calendar to make it last longer or shorter, the times of the event are initially changed in the calendar pane as I specified, and the event is lengthened or shortened on screen accordingly.

However, such changes do not stick: if I then click F5 to refresh the calendar view, or if I click elsewhere in the calendar and then click back on the event I had tried to lengthen or shorter, or if I double-click on that event to see how long it is scheduled to last and from what time till what time, the event returns to its original status (say, an hour instead of two hours).

In short: I cannot make an event shorter or longer by dragging the top or bottom of the event in the Calendar view, but only by editing it directly and specifying the new start and finish times that way.
