Nice. Thanks Pierre. It's good to see that you keep pushing IQ on it's way to V1. The new features look good

Thanks Pierre

Not sure how the drag and drop field values in the Properties pane is supposed to work. Anyone know ?

It's pretty neat. Under filled fields, click on the word Item, then drag that over to a text field somewhere for example "Comments" in the available fields, and drop it in the blank column to the right. of Comments. Comments will then have the value of Item, and now Comments will appear under the "Filled fields section".

By the way, it also works for checkboxes.

Pierre, did you have a specific use in mind for this new feature?

thanks Keith & Jon for that help

"To use, drag the field name (left column) to a different field value cell (right column). For dates, hold CTRL will remove the time part when copying"

To what end? I don't get it.

Thanks Pierre. I'm going to d/l now & look around at the fixes & new stuff. I'm even holding my breath for 9.25 & I'm no longer afraid of turning blue.

Conditional formatting is still very problematic here. All have disappeared except for a few.
Aren't conditional formats supposed to be more or less applied as a series of IFs, but applied only when they were actually met?
It was working better before. The only problem was the one I described.

(I haven't checked other features yet)

P.S. : Also, I can't find the new feature Field conditional format: add Save and Load from text file ... Sorry...
FOUND IT ! thanks

I'm going to revert to the previous version as I don't understand how Conditional Format works here.

IQ now gives me errors for fields with only one simple condition -- and these were working perfectly before (with column displayed in the grid). Also, like I said, almost all formatting is gone and I'm not sure why some still function, mystery.

I've uploaded a new version (same number). Please try it and report back

Thanks a lot. Seems fixed, like I said in the main thread on the subject. Conditional formatting is great. The only thing that the grid provider should really fix is the "item content  disappearing issue" when you use it (workaround : horizontal scroll so that the view isn't aligned to the left).

Just out of curiosity -- what is this funny ggg appearing when I hover over certain places in the grid?

Thanks,
Jay

In implementing the Notifications pane, I disabled the grid cell tooltips and will re-enable them shortly. Sorry about this small issue.

Just a word of caution to those re-downloading the IQ file now that Pierre re-uploaded with a fix. Most browsers cache files and re downloading a file (with the same name) will result in firefox copying the old version from the cache instead of actually downloading the file. The fix is to clear the cache first (Tools->Clear recent history...check the cache option).

Pierre : i think you should always change the file name, even if it's only a small change.

Thanks for the advice Armando. I've renamed the file, so browsers should not use the cached version.

All bugs seem to have been effectively fixed, thanks.

New feature Field conditional format: add Save and Load from text file :  This is REALLY great. I just modified a bunch of fields using this method and it's really quick : after setting up my text file for formatting :  right click on titlebar, down arrow to select "load" option, enter, enter again, alt-s to save, then arrow to go to the next field and repeat process. I guess It took me 3min instead of 90... Nice.

2 things :

- when I used the keyboard to select a field instead of the mouse, it didn't seem to auto save the new loaded conditional formatting of the previous field (that's why I did the alt-s thing) -- will have to do more tests.

- I just fear that users won't think of right clicking there...

New feature Gantt chart: No need to set the End Date and Duration fields  : thanks for that one ! I use the gantt chart in this way so it's going to be useful.

New feature Notifications pane: New !  : seems to work well. I'm sure I'll find some uses for it.

New feature Properties pane: Drag-drop to copy field values : same as above. Will see...

Thanks.

With this new version a grid gets "messed up" when I drag/drop a file from explorer. Sorry, I can't really describe the behavior.

Yes, I got that problem too when dragging and dropping from explorer. It's a display problem where the grid appears with pieces of other windows etc.. I had to close the grid and reopen. This started with this new version.

In regards to the last 'new feature'
& after reading the mantis article on drag/drop properties & experimenting myself with a couple of test fields, I still don't know what this
