I'm back from a "brief" 7 year detour from Infoqube.. The time was split between Tiddlywiki, then Onenote. TW (which ran in a browser) started off great, then they decided to rebuild it from scratch, breaking compatibility, and also browser increased security started making it challenging. And of course, it was removed from the approved software list at work. Onenote, which I'll still have to use at work, does scale nicely (approximately 4 gigabytesm 50000 notes at work), and the OCR feature is still one thing I will miss.Since Microsoft is working on sunsetting the desktop version, and doesn't plan to put local save in the newer "free" version, it was time for a change.
And, I've been using IQ now for 2 days, and I'm very impressed with it; I'm figuring it out again quickly, just trying to learn one small thing each day, and I'll be importing by attrition. I guess I'll skim 7 years of forum posts. I'm back for good. I'm not that many years from retirement, and it's no longer important to me to be using the same PIM software both at work and at home.
Any suggestions on playing "catch-up" will be appreciated.
