I must be overlooking something very simple, but I can't manage to change the "source" of a grid in the Manage Grids dialogue. I can change the name of the grid and other properties of the grid, but when I change the source of the grid, the change is cancelled as soon as I leave the "Manage Grids" dialogue.   I tried on different grids, in different databases including a fresh new one, and even in a somewhat earlier version of IQ.

I can create a new grid via  the "New Grid" dialogue, but when doing this, one can only use the name of a field, not a more complex source.

I did  a few days ago  mistakenly run InfoQubeIEExtensionInstall.exe, mistaking it for a Firefox extension, not an IE extension. Maybe this caused the problem, as I think it changes the Windows registry. But I don't know what to enter into the registry to restore it.

(I am working with v. 1.125.0.Pre ! portable, and Windows 11 Home, 64-bit.)

Hi,

Changing the grid source from the Manage Grids dialog hasn't been tested in a while. I always use the grid own source bar for that (click on the folder icon, top left of the grid window, change the source and press Enter)

I'll ensure that this is also possible in the Manage Grids dialog

Pierre,

Changing grid source using Manage Grids does need to be fixed, in my experience.  Virtually every time I try it, i have to repeat it multiple times to get it to "take" and not revert to the original source as soon as I exit from Manage Grids.

It's good to know there's a reliable way to do it.

How do I ?
