I have links to a Grid where I have used several different grid source filters.

It would be very helpful if the Link could include a previously used source filter (as found in the drop-down list). In this way, I wouldn't need to create multiple Grids, each with a different filter, to use for my links.

p.s. It would be even better if it was also possible to include previously used source and sorting..?

Would this be possible? I. e. to tie a couple of same-level items in the grid together to be dragged around as a group, signalled by some kind of indicator - a frame or a double arrow symbol in the tree lines column?

I usually add a wildcard '*' before and after the filter word in the column filter.
It would be helpful to have a "sticky" option in the drop-down dialogue to always add a '*' before and after the filter word.

Suggestion: switch current selection to any item that is dragged.

1) Drag item into a grid (eg an item from another grid or a link from a browser).

2) The current grid selection does not switch to the just-dragged item.  Instead, it remains on whatever item was previously selected.

For me, the most common action after dragging an item is to edit the text or move the item to a new location.  I do this automatically and many times have inadvertently edited or moved the wrong item because the selection didn't switch to the dragged item.

I'm just now getting into tagging my items (late to the party) and am finding it very convenient to do it from the tags column in the grid.  I'm pressing F2 to bring up the tags pane.  I enter a few tags, but to move to the next item I have to clear the tags pane, move to the next item, and press F2 again.  Would it be a good idea to make the tags pane non-modal?

Is this currently possible? Whenever I do a new search from the Omnibox, the row height is reset to a single line. I'd like to see more of item text so would like to set it to maybe 3 lines or XX pixels by default.

I know I posted this a long time ago but will dredge it up again because I find that the limitations in loading column sets really reduces their usefulness.

When you load a column set:

1) It does not preserve column arrangement (the order is preserved but all columns are loaded to the right of the item column)

2) It does not preserve column groups (groups are disbanded)

3) It does not preserve hidden columns (all columns are loaded)

Currently in IQ, hierarchies show parent - child links. There are however many other links that could benefit from a visual representation (grid, 2-D surface, etc), such as:

Could you please add supports for embedding files & folders in the infoqube database?, instead of only link/shortcut to the files.

I would suggest adding a horizontal scroll bar in the Tags pane (could appear only when needed). Would be helpful with multiple levels of child tags, as an alternative to the user increasing the width of the Tags pane.
