I dont use Search that often, but I dont remember having this problem before.

In the Quick search pane, using the mouse:

I select an item from the list no problem, by clicking anywhere in the item-field cell

To select the second item I have to click on the text within the cell (pressing control if I want to keep the first item selected). I cannot select by clicking in empty space in the cell.

If the second item is just a file link (with no other text), I have to click on the link - this opens the link, actually it opens the window's "open with" dialogue (cause Control was also pressed)

You can select the created or modified or ID fields, but the items will NOT then display in new Search grid etc.

So I am unable to select and display more than one item in this case.

I was not able to reproduce your issue. I don't need to click on the item text and using other cells (such as modified) works fine too.

See if you can reproduce it systematically. I'll keep an eye on this issue

I checked my test install - which is still at version N - same problem there

It's actually totally broken here !!

the only option that works - for any selection(s) is "hoist in current grid".

i.e. whether I select one or more items makes no difference - the options to show in search grid do not work.

The search field is opened with no change to the filter - i.e. it shows whatever was last shown (as it happens it was my last search which was towards the end of last week.)

Here's my settings -

first item is selected** ctrl+clicking on the empty space of item-field of the second item gets no response

** Note also how the selection is show on the first item - only the text area is highlighted -

this is different to cell selection in the grid where the whole cell is highlighted. I dont remember what the norm is in the search pane (?)

I'm able to reproduce all issues Tom mentioned : In search dialog : 1- need to click in the text of any lines to select -- don't think it was like that before. 2- when press enter to show selected items : doesn't work except for "... as hoisted items" option. Last night I had one more problem and it seems to be related: - when clicking on an hyperlink in a grid (e.g. and IDItem hyperlink), only the previously displayed content (in the scratch grid) appears.). Basically : scratch grid and search grid don't display what they're supposed to display.

Can you provide a screencast of the issue using the sample IQBase, as I'm not able to reproduce the issue here
