Today InfoQube Version 0.9.26Pre-Rel25 crashing constantly while trying to remove some fields from AdrsBook.  Have tried repair database and restarting program and windows 8.  So far has happened only in the AdrsBook grid.  Anything else I can try?  Please do not suggest starting a new database, this is my 4th one, importing information did not work, and so am now manually adding real data that I want to keep.  I am slowly learning InfoQube, it does take a lot of reading, searching and actual using, but so far I love it, it is so much like Ecco with added usage.

I dont have any problems here trying the same with a sample db file in Win8.1 - it could depend on:
  1. how you are removing the fields from the grid
  2. the fields you are removing - e.g .are they fields that came with the db?
1) I tried via column header context menu - 'Hide column' and 'Add/remove columns', both worked.

Pierre can usually help, but some more info on the above might help someone to help you.

Hi Tom,

No they are not system fields but ones I added.  I try to remove using the add/remove column button and also by selecting properties and removing the show check mark.  I am also having a problem with renaming a field I set up.  This is the first time I have had trouble with fields.  I am also on windows 8.1.

Hi plp,
  1. Are you still having issues with this ? I was not able to reproduce the issue.
  2. Does it happen on a new IQ Base ?
  3. Have you tried it on another computer ?
  4. Can you send in the file so I have a look ?
HTH

Hi Pierre,

After compacting the database I am now able to remove the fields, not sure what that had to do with it, but it is working.

In answer to your questions:

2. It was a new file based on the sample with some removed and added fields and imported information from Ecco.  I tested removing fields from a new created sample file, to test after your response, and this file worked without any problems.

3.  Only have 1 laptop so could not test on another computer.
