If the title bar is not displayed when IQ is maximized, I loose "File" in the menu. It is replaced by the name of the database I have open. Clicking on it brings up the file menu as usual, but this obviously should not happen.

This is by design... Since there is no title bar, the user needs to know which file is opened.

OK, but does the file name need to usurp the standard "File" in the menu? Can the file name be displayed elsewhere? Does it really need to be displayed at all? Better, how about a custom toolbar or such that displays the current file name, can be positioned anywhere including dropping onto the menu (like you can do with omnibox). This way the user has the choice.

What do you think?

In v0.9.26PreRel52, the file name no longer replace the File menu. Instead, it is (by default) shown separately on the menu bar

It's no a big issue, but one does wonder, at first.
I think I'm okay with it, but maybe that's because I use the same DB all the time -- or almost.
Let,s see...
