No, I've never seen this. Perhaps repair your IQBase ?

Is the issue with specific items or all of them ? 

Are other text fields affected ?

I've seen something similar when playing with personal scripts and popups in VBscript. If a popup has been forgotten and is still waiting for data, grids can behave weirdly, but nothing bad ever happened to my DB.

 

Apart from that mistake, never.

Well, maybe once, 7 years ago (?) when I temporarily corrupted my DB by overwriting the Iditem field with a script (it's not possible anymore as it's protected).
