If you can follow that title you win a puppy ;-)

  • Get the Properties pane and the html pane to overlap so that they show 'tabbed'
  • Focus in HTML pane
  • Click F11 to float the pane
  • you cannot resize it

I can reproduce this in clean install etc

Yes, it was mentioned in that thread (2nd post, steps 2 and 9) : I think F-11 is still weird.

However, it wasn't mentioned in isolation but in the context of other HTML pane problem. I don't know if it'd be useful to separate each problem ?

Pierre : are these HTML pane focus, resizing, etc. problems possible to fix ? Or are you going to wait for the implementation of the new component anyway ?

With the current editing component, I've reached a delicate balance between the various conflicting bugs and am hesitant to change anything.

The "unable to resize when floating" can be worked-around by first clicking in the editor, make sure the pane has focus (caption color change) and then resize.

That's fine, thanks Pierre
I've only recently started using the HTML/Properties panes that way (thanks to Keith's manual pages) so only now noticed the problem
