I have this grid item. It is a lonely grid item.
It was supposed to be accompanied by a lot of HTML data -- notes taken at a meeting
The item properties are as follows

Item = 19:31 BoS meeting
ItemHTMLTextSize = 377 (Nb values = 1496)
ItemHTMLWordCount = 63 (Nb values = 119)
ItemParent = Wed
ItemTextSize = 408 (Nb values = 12493)
ItemCreated = 11/17/2010 07:31:32 PM

But the HTML pane is BLANK.
So tell me, where are the words hiding?

Hopefully they'll jump out from under their cover when you'll finish counting to 100...
Seriously, I have no idea... But have you tried looking in the itemHTMLtext field and see what's there ? Make it visible in the properties from the field management dialog (if it,s not), and then drag it to your grid from the properties pane.
You should see the hidden text (which doesn't explain why the HTML pane is blank... Maybe was the content linked from a file and the link has been erased ???

Text was in HTMLText field & I've moved into HTML pane but the mystery persists & doesn't make sense.
Pierre is aware of this.

I discovered -- quite by accident -- that if I close dB file, then close progam & reverse the process starting up,
clipped HTML appears ok in HTML pane

This particular data was not linked to anything. It was a series of mtg notes that I took last night, i.e. direct input into HTML pane.

I'm assuming I skipped one of the prescribed steps & opened IQ file directly which might explain this event.

In any case, it is really weird & since no one else is reporting anything even remotely close to this problem, it must be local.

But it is still making me NUTZ argggggghhhhhh.

hmmmm... I don't know what happened in your case, but I don't think that it's a good idea to move stuff from the itemHTMLfield to the HTML pane... The itemHTMLtext field stores the text content of the HTML pane, so something probably happened when you cut it and pasted it -- that is, if I understand what you said correctly.

I wonder why the itemHTMLText and itemHTML fields aren't read only as I don't think one would start really start using them instead of the HTML pane. But maybe...

Pierre?

That said, I never experienced that problem. Which doesn't mean that it doesn't exist, of course,

the problem could very easily exist in one or two items and not be noticed
I'll have to check mine

Jan you didnt list ItemHasHTML field as being ticked?
presumably it wasnt - I guess otherwise it would have shown?

 EDIT/ I see the ItemHasHTML field doesnt show under item properties or values in the properties pane (not sure why)

This is fixed in v0.9.25F: calculated fields are not always shown in the properties pane >> all fields section
