As mentioned there in if "negative condition" is used in the filter text box (e.g. WikiTag not like ",,," ) "null" occurences are omitted in results. (more specifically : www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php), we'd like to know your opinion...
What would be the ideal UI (user interface) for item (displayed in grids) filtering in IQ ?
More explanations :
you know, when you want to display different items in a grid and need to access the source bar's filter text box, or the column filters, or the date toolbar, the alphanumeric toolbar, etc. ?
Well, the source bar filters are especially confusing for most users as they uses SQL syntax... And when filters add-up it can be hard for the user to understand why some items don't appear and why others do...
So : a more user friendly UI for filtering would be welcome.
Pierre already has ideas, but let's see if we can come up with more great ideas he could integrate...
1- Examples from other applications are welcome (screenshots, etc. since we're talking UI...)
2- Simple changes in what IQ already has available as UI (sometimes, simpler ways are better...)
2- Details would be great...
Thanks to all who contribute! :)
