I have a csv file that I need to import into the calendar. I have mapped the feilds correctly, I think. Mapping the item field is obvious. The date in the csv file has been mapped to appointments. Note that the date field is a simple date with no time. I know that in order to display in the calendar, ItemInCalendar needs to be ticked, so that field gets mapped to field 1. I have various other text fields which have been assigned accordingly.

I cannot get the appointments to show in the calendar. Do I need a duration? What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jon,

Open a grid showing all the imported items.
Make sure that the Appointment column is shown and populated
Click on the Appointment column
Right-click and select "Select column"
Right-click on any date and select "Create Event"

All items should now be shown in the Calendar

Thank you Pierre. This works well, but how to accomplish this is not obvious. I thought that mapping the ItemInCalendar property should do this. Why did it not? What is the purpose of this system property?

Hi Jon,

ItemInCalendar is a read-only field, computed from information in the database. So, currently, the way I've given, is the only way to put a list of items in the Calendar

Still having some problems. The items that are now showing in the calendar have several columns associated with them. These were all imported successfully, but the property pane does not display them when I highlight the item in the calendar. I can see the item's values when it it highlighted in a grid. When I return to the calendar to try again, the values for the item are grayed out in the property pane and do not change when highlighting a different item.

Thank you Pierre, but this is not my current problem. The items imported OK with all of the columnar information. The items show in the calendar now, but the display of the column information in the property pane is not working. I do see a few items where the information appears, but when I go to another item, the information in the property pane appears frozen on the item that worked.

Edit: I thought I was not clear about the problem I presented. You answered while I was posting. I hope you can figure this out soon. I'm kind of on a deadline. If it takes too long, I suppose I can use Ecco (I tried it and it works nicely), but I would like to standardize on IQ and avoid the duplication and complications that result.

Sent you a PM with the file attached so you can see what I am talking about. Apparently this is not a problem introduced since W5 as it exists there too.
