I have a custom backup folder for my main file, but cant remember where it is - I've had an IQ crash and want to get the most recent backup.
Can I see where IQ stores the backups without actually opening the IQbase file ?
Opening the file may modify the backups - probably not immediately but still, I dont want to risk it.

I do have a workaround (slightly awkward at the moment) - open file on a different machine.
If it's not currently possible, could it be 'arranged' ?! :-)
it could be helpful to have this info accessible e.g. in an ini file in the associated folder.

Using portable IQ

EDIT// I found them
PS I still think the request is reasonable (if not too difficult to implement) - obviously a minor request though

Can you look under options? The location of the custom backup folder appears there.

It varies though from file to file, and as above:
the problem is, if I open the file, I could be changing the backups, so it's a minor Catch22 situation

Hi Tom,

You have a few minutes after opening the file before any backup operation, so no need to worry.

One way to disable backups is to rename the IQBase to ".SNBK", as backup files don't get backed up.
