Is it possible to create two text columns and have the values of the first column affect the values that are available for the second column?  For example:
 
Column 1 Selections:
Learning
Inventory
 
Column 2 Selections:
If Learning was selected on Column 1
- Books
- Internet Resources
If Inventory was selected on Column 1
- Books
- Music

Yes, this is possible and I can help you if you want.
There is another possibility, which is simpler and faster. The idea is to fill both fields (columns) at once.
