One of the features of the new Google Chrome feature that I immediately fell in love with is the ability to grab any tab and drag it to a new window.  i.e. it ceases being a tab and becomes a new browser window in it's own right.  It's a fantastic feature.  Perhaps some day that will be possible with IQ, just grab a tab/grid and drag it to a new window.  It's especially powerful if you have a large monitor or multiple monitors where it is easy to work with multiple windows.  (I know right now there is "new horizontal tab group")

This sure is one neat feature..., which has its drawbacks, as users are finding out, Chrome (and IE8 for that matter) gobbles memory like crazy. Each tab is an independant app.

But it really is a neat feature. What is planned in IQ, is combo-views which in which each grid can be arranged and docked in a workpad area... and made floating by drag-drop. Kind of the same concept...

Pierre, I hate to keep doing this but don't know how else to express it:

In UltraRecall Pro, user is permitted to drag any pane to any position, horiz or vert within each other or to the overall desktop so potentially user can create a mosaic of panes w the info desired to be seen simultaneously.  In IQ, I am able to do this in a limited fashion, i.e. groups which can either be horiz or vert & I can add panes to the existing panes as tabbed panes. This is very neat but I don't know why this is only limited to 2 choices. Don't know if you are using the same UI as UltraRecall but it might be worth looking @ if you haven't already.

In one memorized view, for example, I have 7 panes of info. While it sounds awfully crowded it actually works. But then I have 6 other memorized views for different functions.

I bring this up because it sounds an awful lot like the workspace you are talking about here. Maybe yours is even better but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

BTW, I wish I could use IQ to send emails but I use a decure smtp server (gmail) & I can't set it up properly, i.e. no opportnities to set SSL or port. Maybe ? Please ?

Thanks.
