Of course, it shouldn't be possible when there are no parents...
But what about the other cases where an item has parents but IQ greys out the option to hoist up one level ? Is there a  reason for that ?
It would be nice to be able to hoist up one level whenever items have parents.

Thanks!

Currently Hoist up one level is enabled when Hoist is ON...
And when an item does not have any parents, it turns Hoist OFF

You propose to have it enabled if an item has one or more parents ? It would show all parents ?

Ah! I see. I often forget that I'm in a hoisted environment. Thinking about it, yes, I don't see why you couldn't hoist up one level whether it's currently on or off. It's just another way of hoisting (you don't need to turn hoist ON to hoist selected items, it turns on automatically, but it's obviously useful to turn it off when it's ON). And it would show all parents, as it does now, which is very convenient.
Thanks Pierre !
