I often have a lot of text in the Item field, and I want to split up that text so that it is contained in a number of items instead of just one item.
I can use the Ctrl+Shift+S split item for each item, and it works, but each split involves moving between items, reactivating the next cell for editing, positioning the cursor.
So I am wondering whether it would be possible to add a "Split Item On" feature, where I would insert a specific character into the block of text that I want to split up, which would act as a "split point". Then when I ran a Split command, the item would be split in to multiple items. Each new item would begin where I inserted the "split character".
This way many "split item" functions could be consolidated into one.
I have figured out that I can:
1. insert line breaks (shift+enter) into the Item text
2. copy the Item Text
3. press Enter to create a new item and move to the new item;
4. press Ctrl-V to paste the text.
5. Infoqube offers to paste each line of the pasted text into a new item, creating items if necessary.
6. then I can manually delete the "unsplit" item
It would be good to be able to have a function to perform steps 2-6 with one keystroke.

I haven't got the time to try to discover why it happens "inconsistently" (on the surface)
