 (Not hiding a column, but actually removing it...)
 
[EDIT] : messes columns headers grouping to the right of the removed column. Haven't done much testing, but it's happened quite a few times.

Thanks! As it's quite annoying -- takes a while -- to regroup columns each time.
The feature is quite useful for those with many columns.
 
As I suggested once, column grouping could be linked to fields hierarchies (it really makes a lot of sense to me) -- maybe as an option. This would make grouping in grids (when wanted) quick. A no brainer.
