As I'm filling in my grid, I'm copy/pasting text cells hundreds of times a day. With this much repetitive work, anything that adds an unnecessary step or two becomes an annoyance.
If I have a normal multi-line text cell, copy/paste works fine. As soon as I hit ctrl-v, the text is inserted with no additional steps.
However, if the original multi-line text cells consists of a list created using shift-return to force new lines, it won't simply insert the text in the new cell. I get a dialogue asking if I want to insert it all into one cell, or create a new item for each line of text.
99% of the time I want to insert it all into one cell. Unfortunately, the default choice is to create a new item for each line. As a result, I have to manually change the selection each time. Not a big deal, except when you're doing it 500+ times a day, it gets old.
Is there any way to do any of the following?
1) Change the default paste option to #1 from #2.
2) Create a shortcut that will past multi-line lists in a single step, without having the options presented at all.
Or is there some other way to shorten the number of steps need to paste text lists?
