I don't think it's possible right now to have both vertical and horizontal tab groups open at the same time (it's either/or).   I'd like to suggest that Pierre consider adding this feature, if it wouldn't be too difficult to implement.  Not a big deal at all, but it would give the user complete control over his grid layouts.

There have been times that I thought it'd be nice to have main the work area in a full-sized vertical grid, with several reference grids stacked one above the other (horz. layout) in a second grid.

Just an idea.  I understand that i can simulate this by having multiple instances of InfoQube open but I always worry about having conflicts or losing work when trying to work on the same file in different IQ instances.

Hi Wayne,

It is not possible using the current tab workspace (neither possible in other tabbed environment, such as browsers)
No need to worry, you can safely use multiple copies of IQ at the same time.

OK, good to know.  That's workable.  I do think there are other PIMs that have it, unless my memory is way off (quite possible).

It is possible using docking panes which could hold grids. Not a priority right now of course
