No, pin opens it permanently. Or it it engages autohide. I just want a simple button to click to expand, click to close. Which for me is faster and more efficient than using autohide. A keyboard shortcut as Tom mentioned would work too.
Fixed: HTML Pane: Better support for multiple HTML panes. In particular, pressing F12 will now move the focus to the pane that shows the current item.
Fixed: HTML Pane: Shift + F12 now opens / closes the current HTML pane

yep,
fixed in v77
If a HTML pane is open, and focus is in the grid, Shift+F12 will first move focus back to the HTML pane, pressing keys a second time will close HTML pane,
which is logical/intuitive to me.
I forget what F11 used do -- but note that it now hides/displays the HTML *and* Properties Panes (where they already opened).
If a second HTML pane is open, F11 will still hide/display the first HTML + properties panes, and move focus back to the grid.
=> which is also nice :-)
EDIT// F11 is defined as zoom on the keyboard page: I can correct -- link to nonexistent node ID 145 --, and add to other relevant pages if you approve Pierre (HTML/ Properties panes shortcuts pages)
Not sure if that documented - or where it should be documented. (Will have a look later if no-one sends me the right direction.)
Pierre, the shortcuts don't work for me, F12 opens the HTML pane while also closing the properties pane, and visa versa for F4. I want to just be able to open and close the HTML pane on its own. I probably just need to get used to double clicking the pin icon when I want to lock the pane open. But that is an extra click .
