I am using pop-up fields in columns quite a bit and find them very inefficient to use with a mouse.  First you have to click to highlight the cell, then you have to double click just to get the drop down arrow to appear, then you have to click on the arrow to get the options to appear, then you have to double click on an option to select it.

Is there any way to get them to function like the drop downs in most software, which would be:
- The drop down arrow is always visible (assuming it's a pop-up of course)
- You click on the arrow to expose the values, and click once on a value to select it.

I don't find keyboard selection any more efficient, am I missing something?

Thanks

It can certainly be improved. I press on F2 twice to show the pop-up list, then a single click to select / unselect an item, finally, a click on OK

Pierre,

That tip helps me with another minor issue, too: going from full-cell select to text edit mode.  Sometimes when I select a cell, it goes straight to text edit mode when I don't want that.  And once in that mode, to get back to full-select, I was having to mouse select another cell, then return to the first.  F2 allows you to quickly switch modes without leaving the cell.
