In a previous thread I mentioned that my "copy tab" command had disappeared from the grid context menu.  Pierre suggested I upgrade, which solved the problem.  It disappeared again in a later upgrade and is still missing in the latest (9.78b).  This is what I see at the bottom of my context menu:

If I remember, "copy tab" was just above "New Horz Tab Group".  Am I right in saying it's missing or is it somewhere else?

Hi Wayne,

I can't test it right now, but shift + click should open a copy of the grid

Pierre,

You're on vacation.  Don't be answering trivial questions that can wait until you return.  I just posted in case one of the other users want to chime in.

Maybe someone else can try Shift+click but it didn't work for me.

hi Wayne,

just to say shift-click doesn't work here either.

However - "New tab" in the context menu does open up a copy of the current tab.

Here, the option is at the top of the grid's tab context menu.

Here's the top of my grid context menu.  No "new tab" command:

Are you using 9.78b?

Here's the whole context menu.   I access it by right-clicking on the grid tab at the top of the screen.   This is the context menu we're talking about, right?

Edit:  Also can't find the command for this in custom tools or shortcuts.

Wow, that is a highly customized context menu...
How do survive with apps that don't support menu customization ? There are quite a few nowadays...

Pierre,

More of an accidental mess than customized.  I must have done all this when I was organizing tool icons without paying attention to toolbars.  I'll have to clean that up.  I never use this context menu for anything other than tab groups or new tabs.

In any case, I can't find a "copy tab" tool icon to add the context menu or other toolbar.

How about doing a reset of that toolbar ?
