I often want to (temporarily) filter on a field that is not a column.  What is the fastest way to do it?  I'd like to be able to right click on the field in the property pane and select "show items from this grid", but the only option that I am aware of there shows all items from the entire database.

Thanks

I guess the fastest way is to right-click on the field in the Properties pane and select show field in the current grid and then use the column filter to filter for NonBlanks
I could create a command to do those two steps...

Isn't it possible to do this via filtering (in the filter-box in the Sourcebar)?

I use the filterbox only for a couple of filters which are automatically saved, and I can do minor variations on them (so I'm not expert enough to say).

Yes it is. For flat list, this works out quite well. For outlines, not so well, a,s if you're looking for sub-items, they may not show up
