Currently using the Ctrl+G filter is of somehow limited use to me since the resulting view does not visually distinguish between items that fulfill the criteria and others that don't.

It is good to have the parents of item displayed as to have context, however, your attention cannot immediately disregard anything but "last level items" as there may be items at all levels that meet the filter criteria.

A nice way to solve this would be to have a color painting the items that fulfill the criteria (or don't). Since a very similar IQ way already exists - Blue Color for Context Parents - it would be nice if this could be extended to this filtered view as well.

Hi !

I can see how your suggestion would be useful, it is however not currently possible. I'll keep it in the backlog however, if and when it becomes possible

Btw I managed to get something similar to work in case somebody is interested.

Omnibox search -> Search Current Grid option -> Search Results Grid with Source Items(Tree View) display option.

A bit more work but does the job.
