Hi IQ Users,

I've been meaning to add plain text support to the HTML pane. Would you find this useful ?

At the same time, I could add MarkDown (and other "light" markup syntaxes). In Browse mode, the HTML version of the markup would be shown. Interested ?

Hi Pierre

Plain text support in the HTML pane would be fantastically useful to me at least, particularly if the HTML pane could display and edit a plain text file that was stored externally. In fact that would be top item on my IQ wish list. MarkDown would be nice but not essential.

I don't use the html pane because I need plain text only. So yes, this could be useful for me.

I could see this being really useful for working with code and such. You'd miss out on syntax colouring and other text editor features, but it could be really handy as a way to store/annotate/catalogue pieces of code.

Of course it'd be useful! (won't repeat what other users already said.)
Markup syntaxes would be a nice addition.
