hi,

I find the ability to include images in the Item column really useful. However I always have to manually adjust the row height to show the whole image (images are not massive, but they're more than a single line in height). If there are a lot of such items this can become a bit tedious. Would it be possible to have such items "obey" the Word Wrap command? I know there aren't any actual "words" there to wrap, but it seems logical somehow that Word Wrap should let you see all of what's in the field, whether words or image. Or could there be some other way of doing this?

Hi David

I have no issue with Images' height. Even if I have set a maximum Item Height in the Grid Settings, the images overflow vertically. I doubt it that Wordwrap has any effect either, at least with a couple of quick tests.

However, horizontally the image will display taking the space of ONLY the available columns, i.e. gets cut on the right-hand side.

It would be very nice if images were scaling and resizing dynamically given the available space, but I am not sure if it would be possible and/or feasible.

Hi David,

I found the issue. It is related to Outline Styles. Turn off the outline style (set it to none) and refresh. Image should now show. This is fixed in v84:
  • Fixed: Grid: When an Outline style was applied, images were not shown with the correct height
The idea of linking this to the Wordwrap setting is a good one, I'll see how this could be done.

Many thanks Pierre. Yet another reason to look forward to v84!
