Hi,

Is there a functionality to copy/paste formatted content, like MS Word's Format Painter?

For instance, I have this text formatted bold and highlighted yellow and I'd like to copy/paste that formatting on this remaining part of the sentence in order it also becomes bold and highlighted in yellow.

Thank you,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

That seems a bit complicated to program. I would prefer to work on a list of text touch-ups, like Ecco Pro had:

Thanks for the reply Pierre.
I don't know Ecco, but if I got the idea of text touch-ups, it would fit the definition of MS Word styles I got from this link:
"A style is a predefined combination of font style, color, and size that can be applied to any text in your document."
Are text touch-ups like styles?
When writing mostly in the grid, I end up having to format manually the style, font, size, background and foreground colors of items, following other items already formatted the same way.
So m need is to stop repeating the very same formatting over and over.
My first instinct was to copy/paste an already formatted item, and then change only the content. However, when I paste the icon, InfoQube removes the formatting, pasting only the plain text.
Along with the text touch-ups idea, something like paste text keeping source formatting would work as well.

Yes, they are like the styles function you describe.

The thing that made them even more convenient in Ecco Pro is that you could create a toolbar icon for each set of style parameters.  That allowed you to assign formatting with a single click without having to go to a pulldown menu.  Would be nice to have that in InfoQube but just having the text touchups alone would be a big help.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the clarification.
The implementation of such handy feature by Pierre would be amazing.
Fingers crossed!

Hi @Pierre_Admin

Are you still considering the possibility of implementing the list of text touch-ups, like Ecco Pro?

All the best with IQ development!

Carlos
