Somehow I had the idea that if you had a URL in the URL field, double-clicking the item (specifically the Item field) would take you to to that URL.  But when I do so, the Item field is activated for editing, and the URL is not loaded in the browser.  Do I need to click an actual (blue-underined) hyperlink in a field?

Hi Jim,

I don't think it was ever that way. If the item text is a file (with no spaces in it) it may still work the Ecco Pro way and open the file.

There is a field, named URLLink, that shows "Link" if there is something in URL. It takes less space than the actual URL field

I did not already have a URLLink field but I created it following the instructions in http://infoqubeim.com/drupal5/node/986 .  On the other hand I see that my database already had some Smart Fields defined (e.g. "Day") that I did not create myself.  Is there any easy way to generate a list of my existing Smart Fields (i.e. Field Options field has a "<Source>SQLSelectString</Source>" statement?
