Sorry for a n00b question, but where in the manual is grid refresh discussed?
In Ecco, when I make changes to a grid, e.g. remove an item from the grid, it is immediately removed.
When I remove an item in IQ (e.g. from the inbox grid by unchecking the inbox field) the item is still there. I need to hit F5 to remove it by a manual refresh.
Is there some way to have IQ automatically refresh the grid after I make a change or do I need to keep hitting F5 after a change?

IQ removes items from a grid when you do Ctrl+D > option 2. It will not remove the item if you just change a field value. This is by design
How were you "removing" the item ? Perhaps give the exact steps (as there are many ways to do this)

For example, in the sample file there is an Inbox Grid. In the properties pane, I uncheck the "Inbox" field, expecting the item to be removed from the Inbox. However, it is not removed until I hit F5 (refresh).

One advantage I can see is that if I mistakenly erase the source field, I have a chance to undo my error without having to search for the item.

Precisely ! Too often when using Ecco, this happened to me. In IQ, field changes do not remove items to the current grid and change the focus item. It may be removed from other grids of course , if the changes imply that.
