So I pasted around ten Ecco notepads for work into IQ via HTML paste and everything seemed to be just hunky-dory.
However, I've now realized that none of the hyperlinks they contain are active in IQ, which is a real bummer. It means I have to edit the item, navigate to the end of the URL, then press Space and Enter. Very time-consuming and irritating. I guess I could fix it by searching for, e. g. "http", showing items in the search box and use an Autohotkey shortcut to complete the above steps automatically per item. Still not exactly an appealing idea.
I guess the problem is that my data is, of course, not really HTML-formatted. I just used HTML paste as I couldn't find another way to preserve the outline structure from Ecco on pasting. Slang's EccoExt extension would always activate both hyperlinks and file links automatically on pasting, probably relying on RegEx pattern to analysis to spot them.
Also, IQ seems to handle local file links differently. With those, navigating to the end of the file's extension and pressing space will not activate the link. Instead, to get an active link, I have to erase the path and re-paste it when editing for IQ to activate it. Could also be done by searching for ":\" and then using AHK on a per-item basis but still - too bad.
Any ideas on how to make it easier on me before I go down the Autohotkey road? Would anyone else like a native 'activate all hyperlinks' command that could be used on multiple selected IQ items at the same time? (Been wanting that even before the problem described here occured.)
Many thanks!
