When I filter the grid for a word, is it possible to get the filtered word/string highlighted?
Header item on outline level 1
Sub-header Item on outline level 2
Multiple sub-Items on outline level 3
If the two items on levels 1 and 2 are joined, all the sub-items on Level 3 are deleted unless the option to delete the original is unchecked.
99% of the time, I DO want the original deleted, so it was inevitable that the delete option would be checked. I assumed the sub-items would remain under the new combined header.
We can Hide columns but I often forget that I have hidden columns and I don't always right click to find hidden column.
I suggest an alternative to Hide by instead collapse a column, still visible but with a minimum width. Un-collapsing the column brings it back to its original width.
Like this:
A special outline/grid to browse the filesystem, and associate files as desired with IQ fields/tags.
The outline/grid replicates the filesystem hierarchy, but in the form of an IQ grid, and with the usual grid tools for navigating, collapsing, expanding, etc.
Grid columns include the usual file manager columns (Name, Extension, Size, Datetime stamps (Modified etc) but also IQ field columns as desired.
A special grid to be used for importing data into IQ.
Copy a range from Excel, Google Sheets, etc. and paste into the Import grid. IQ recognizes the data type of each column.
The column headers in the Import grid are the destination fields in IQ. If column headers are pasted from Excel etc., IQ uses these. If the IQ database has no corresponding field for a column, it is created and assigned the detected data type. The column headers are dropdowns from which the user can select any desired destination field.
In addition to the sum of the number of items - is it possible to have the average of those items also shown.
If possible it would be a great time saver.
Thank you
I'd really like to be able to bookmark all my open browser tabs to IQ, where the tagging and organizing options are endless. I use bookmarking not just to save sites of particular interest, but as an activity monitor, so I can retrace my steps, find projects to resume and pick up where I left off. For me it's a nearly indispensable method. I imagine browser extensions would be a big jump but perhaps some kind of sync mechanism with the Chrome / Firefox / Edge / IE Favorites bookmark stores would be possible at some point.
Hi IQ Users!
Back from vacation, where I had quite a bit of time to think about InfoQube...
It is often said that IQ has a steep learning curve, and I was wondering how to tame this curve for new users... It would be quite easy to add a 3-pane view (based on the current grid view):
I have links to a Grid where I have used several different grid source filters.
It would be very helpful if the Link could include a previously used source filter (as found in the drop-down list). In this way, I wouldn't need to create multiple Grids, each with a different filter, to use for my links.
p.s. It would be even better if it was also possible to include previously used source and sorting..?
Would this be possible? I. e. to tie a couple of same-level items in the grid together to be dragged around as a group, signalled by some kind of indicator - a frame or a double arrow symbol in the tree lines column?
Thanks!
