Reference Developing a Tutorial IQBase for new users. Per Jerome's great start, this is my take on a 1st tutorial -- link to nonexistent node ID 1102 --. I'm considering it "complete".

Grids 1-3 were tested by my 11-year-old, who provided some invaluable feedback.

Observations:

1) it was fun to write, and it helped learn/reinforce some of the things I knew about IQ. (I really know my "enters" and my "ctrl-enters" now!)

2) the child pages in the manual were put in (quickly) for reference.  I used my normal working IQ, rather than start up a stock version.

3) I'm a little burnt out (with tutorial writing, not IQ of course).  Any revisions, feel free to update the zip file and upload it again; the system allows it. Else you can attach a renamed file. Make sure you include the tutorial01.SNDB.Files in the zip file.

4) I ended up using MHT files for the pictures, which was the most expedient.  By the way, I was creating HTML pane content using from the HTML pane, menu>insert>image, multiple times for multiple jpgs', then adding text, then clicking the blocknote icon, and converting to MHT, it worked great.

5) I think each tutorial should just be a file included in the standard distribution, and not a "template" in the standard database.
