I think I've requested that a while ago. And I think it'd be very very useful and would take advantage of IQ's potential.
Hopefully, it'd possible.

Usage : I'd like to easily be able create "Outline templates" for different tasks, projects, etc. by copying and pasting them.

Let's say I'm working on a project and would like to create a template out of the organizational outline for that project. After filtering out all the project's specific info, display in a grid the main structure/skeleton of the project -- which is very easy to do if one identifies titles with a Yes/No field --  I'd like to be able to copy and paste that outline.

Problem
However, this is not possible at the moment. I can't just filter out stuff from the structure of a current project and make a template out of it : The xml full copy mode will copy all children, whether they meet the grid filters or not (which is expected, of course), and pollute the template with all kinds of project specific info. I could do it level by level -- which I just did... But for a complex structure, this is hugely time consuming. It just took me 2 h, copying a few items at a time and moving them under the right parents, etc. This is certainly not the proper way to function.

It is possible to create structures in advance (and I do that too) but structures often evolve and need to be adjusted, so it's easier to be able to recreate a template using a current project than to fix an old structure by comparing all items against the other newer structure.

(This, of course, would be possible with an HTML export, but it is not what I'm after... Otherwise I'd still be doing my stuff in MS Word...)
