Recently I've had problems w FF dropping out so I switched ot IE & made it my default browser. Double checked that by having FF ask if it was default (no) yet when I click a URL in IQ it continues to call FF. Don't see an option for this.  What am I missing? Thanks.

If you double-click an HTM file (when in Windows Explorer), which browser opens up the file?

  1. right-click HTM file,
  2. > Open with...
  3. Choose Program...
  4. Select IE and
  5. check Always use ...
HTH

Pierre, thanks for trying to help.
I was able to do as you suggested but it didn't take so
I tried control panel > folder > file associations > htm & html = IE
noticed that protocol for http & https was still FF but don't understand protocols so didn't mess w those
Reset computer but w same result FF came up even tho it knew it was no default browser (I had it set to ask on opening)
Then noticed that IE64 could not be assigned default status so I changed to IE32 but I don't think this worked
Bottom line: I think Vista is looking to IE64 as primary browser
Don't know where to go from here... maybe remove IE64 even tho it's so damned fast
Any thoughts or other suggestions.
Tks

If that can help, internally, I do a:
ShellExecute, "Open"

When you edit the file associations, check both HTM and HTML. On my system, HTM opens with IE and HTML with FF . There is also a Reset button. I haven't tried it, but who knows what it does...

Good luck.

I have just found one of my most used features in IQ, is no longer working. Dropping outlook:guid references into my items, both inline in the item content using <a> tags, and using the URL field, is no longer working.

Is this related to developments in this area?
