It became helpful to me to have the IDitem as a column in one of my grids as I tend to link items quite frequently. However, I noticed that when I create a new sub-item, it gets an IDitem assigned (visible in properties) but this does not immediately translate to the grid view. I think it should. <F5>  cures this but is this going to be like this forever? Can't there be an auto-refresh when new data is entered?  Thank you.

Thanks for reminding me Jan.

I've created a Mantis issue 920.

and it should be addressed in v0.9.26

Errr... auto-refresh is desirable on small IQbases and extremely undesirable on large ones. A refresh on the main view in my large imported Ecco main IQbase takes around 11-12 seconds. That, every time I enter some data, would quickly drive me crazy. The current compromise, although it has horrible consequences for usability and gives an initial education challenge for new users, is generally better as the user puts more and more data in their database. An "obvious" solution is to make "auto-refresh on every update" a user-selectable option. Pierre?

You must have a surprise, that's not listed on the 0.9.26 road map, then!

Is this the "top secret" surprise hinted at in January, or something new?

I wonder if it will be something really neat that was totally unexpected, like the hoisting...
