Display in Grid X is sort of hoisted to reveal only:

If user refreshes display all Jan Rifkinson children / grandchildren are revealed as seen below:

Question : which items were hoisted ?

And what are the filters in each grid ?
 
(asking because even if hoisted, filters still apply on hoisted items -- very handy)

nothing was actually hoisted -- it just looked like it was hoisted, i.e. similar effect
but to answer you question(s)

Filter for Grid X (source) = 7 as in 7 days (this is a dairy log)
Filter for Grid Y = "W"  (this is an address book)

Thanks Jan. But I'm missing some details here...
 
How do you get Grid X display with "7" as a source.
 
And in Grid Y, how do you end up with :

If your alphanumeric filter (I guess) is set to "W" ?

Could you provide screenshots of the whole source bar + other filter toolbars + grid ?
 
e.g. :
 
1 screenshot showing grid Y and X tiled vertically, maybe, after a first refresh
1 screenshot showing grid Y and X tiled vertically, maybe, after moving items from X to Y
1 screenshot after 2nd refresh.
 
 
 
 

Jan, what was the problem here ? Was it the position of  item i,  item ii,  item iii (right beneath child 1) ?
 
(I am asking as I'm entering stuff in mantis and trying not to let some bugs behind)
