I meant to say it for at least 2 weeks... So, here !
Did you guys notice ? Now the column filter buttons, when ON (Grid menu -> column filter -> click on "Column filter button"), auto hide when the mouse is over the column header. Very convenient. I can now have my narrow columns AND also the button when I need it. Better then having to right click and then choose the right option in the context menu.

That's an excellent finding. I hadn't noticed it.  Thanks.  That looks like a good default setting if possible. (Off to check the cool chm manual...)

Yes, I forgot to mention this. Unless users see a reason to keep it as it is, the column filter buttons menu setting will likely go away.

I less display setting is definitely a good thing. IQ needs simplification

I think this should be the default setting too and I don't see why someone would nee other options.

You want to get rid of all column filter settings ? Even the "Filter as you type" or "Grid filter applies to subitems" ? I never use the first (too slow and CPU intensive in big grids) but use the second one pretty often.

No, just the ones specific to filter buttons. Columns filters are there to stay !
