I don't find it immensely useful yet, but that's probably because I'm a keyboard person mostly. However, I started to copy data around in the properties pane, and find it fun to use. When the properties pane is open and the right fields are just in front of me it might be quicker to just click and drag the data where I want, instead of using the keyboard. But... still not sure. I'll see.
