The identifier field autogenerated when a grid is created (e.g. the Welcome grid creates a Welcome on/off field) doesn't seem to be able to receive data when importing if the name has a space in it. If you try to set value of the identifier field to -1 during the import process, it remains unset, resulting in an orphan item.

 

If the identifier field name (and thus the name of the grid) has no spaces, then the import works as expected.
