This does not appear to be working. It did in earlier versions, at least for me.

Multi-level column headers seems to work here -- at least in a sample DB and in my own DB where grids have been already configured that way. But I must admit I'm afraid to explore anything more in my own grid config as this tends to erase all filter/sort history, an effect I don't particularly need at the moment... Note : for multi-level to work, you need to find the right column header width -- as columns headers won't be stacked on top of each other only when the text can't be completely displayed

I didn't know that this can mess up the filter and sort history. Why should it?

Thanks for the tip for making the headers work. I also forgot that you need to close and re-open the grid, and in one case for me, close and re-open IQ.

>I didn't know that this can mess up the filter and sort history. Why should it? It's a bug... Not sure if all grid settings modification/save would do that, but many will. I avoid changing any settings these days. See : Keep loosing complete filter history for grids (M) You can see it in action in a new sample file : 1- create various filters in a grid's filter text box (the center one in the source-bar). Check that the filter history is there by clicking on the down arrow at the left of the text box .. Normally it should. 2- ctrl-s to save its settings (just to make sure...) 3- open "manage grids" 4- change a setting in that grid (name, filter, auto-size width, whatever...) 5- save and close the dialog 6- Close the grid and reopen it 7- click on the down arrow at the left of the filter text box : all previously used filters are gone. This happens only when some modifications are made to the grid's settings in "manage grids" As far as the headers go, i personally never had to restart IQ...Just playing with the headers size was enough, maybe close and reopen a grid... But I'm not sure. In all my tests though, I never had to restart IQ, that's for sure. I really wonder why that was a requirement in your case.
