Guess I'm posting a bunch lately 'cause it's crunchtime for a thesis chapter, which means I'm using Infoqube a whole lot, and also procrastinating in the forums :)

Neither F9 nor F12 are working for me. Once focus is on the HTML pane, it seems to be stuck there! I'm "working" in Windows 7, latest IQ build.

Is it not working at all, or does it instead jump back to the HTML pane as soon as an item with MHT content is focussed ? That, I've experienced a lot, but only with MHT files. Normally pressing F9 or F12 solves it. Pressing ALT by mistake though can make all Fx shortcuts to not work. IT always happens here...

They don't work at all: once focus is on the HTML pane, it won't go back to the grid with either key. I'm guessing it's because I'm browsing pdfs in the HTML pane, so it's actually my pdf viewer that is engaged, and obviously these shortcuts aren't meant for the viewer. Because the HTML pane is loading this viewer, this may be a 'so it goes' situation (no real fix), but at least it's on the table. I can always use the mouse! :)

this happens with other browsers as well - once the pdf reader is loaded in the browser, the browser shortcuts dont work any more :(

Testing, the F9 / F12 key do work here so long as you have NOT clicked within the actual pdf. Which means you're going to have to resort to the mouse anyways to scroll - I'm not sure if that's IQ functionality or is it KatMouse which allows me to scroll the PDF (using the mouse) without giving it focus.

KatMouse here (dont know does it work with windows 7)

Hi Tom,

It must be your katmouse -- I can only scroll whatever is in focus (and it's true that once my hand has made it all the way over to the mouse ;), I can just switch focus that way). Also, if I have grid focus and I press F12 once to switch focus to the HTML pane, and press it once more, it already won't go back (ie, without ever having clicked within the pdf).

You're right about these issues in general (I remember similar keyboard shortcut problems browsing pdfs in Firefox), which is why I'm quite content just to have them on record, seeing as they probably aren't problems internal to IQ itself.

Pierre, the issue here seems to be that when the focus is in another loaded component (pdf in the HTML pane, in this case), IQ'S shortcuts don't work anymore (F9 and F12 in this case). Is this "fixable" (worth it to put the issue in Mantis) ? [bumping this to the top to keep track of it.]

Hi Armando,

When I read this thread, I thought that the consensus was that the PDF viewer is the guilty one. Did I read wrong ?

Yes, I know. That's more or less what I meant with my question. I.e. : is it possible to bypass this limitation or not (the fact that the pdf component is stealing the shortcut -- if you will). I'm asking the question as the problem might arise again in the future. If nothing can be done, no problem.
