I was looking at tool bars and after selecting customize, I click the last item and it disappeared. Later I realized the verticle grid menu on the left , whatever you call it, was gone. I cannot find a control for it anywhere.

Comments

Menu > View > Grids

then click on the dotted line top of submenu and drag it elsewhere/away from menu

this forms a menu "toolbar"

drag this to the left side or dock it wherever you want

Sorry, but I cannot see what you are talking about. The verticle sidebar is simply gone.

Oh, I found it. Great feature! It is a shame all the menus are not that way.
