I was wondering why IQ can't automatically recognize a URL & an email address in the item field so if a user enters an item like:

(1) There is an interesting link @ http://janrifkinson.blogspot.com/
or
(2) Need to write a note to Jan @ janrif@gmail.com

IQ would automatically recognize them for what they are & create clickable links

Thanks

It works here, although they appear as text with no special formatting to distingush the link from the rest of the item. I have to double (sometimes triple) click to get it to work though.

The thing is : you need to be in "edit mode" for the double click to work.
So basically :
- 1 click to get in edit mode,
- double click  on whatever to trigger needs to be triggered.

Tx for replies -- Jon & Armando. Good to know it sort of works. However, for ease of use, consistency & standards, I think IQ should format them to look like links whereby user knows it's a link, clicks once & opens whatever.  Pierre, is this possible?

Starting v0.9.25V, you can now type an URL and hit Ctrl+K to instantly turn it into a hyperlink.

It works for the grid, I've now got to do it for the HTML pane

Thanks Pierre. Is it the http:// or the www. that is necessary for recognition?
From your post I'm also assuming this is true for email @xyz.com or whatever address.
