Version 0.9.26Pre-Rel10 is now available !

Apart from bug fixes, focus of this release is the Mapview, which wasn't updated in many months. It is now functional for brainstorming. Users can now freely add and move items :
  • New: Mapview: The Insert key (Ins) creates a new item under the current focus item
  • New: Mapview: Drag-drop to move items from one parent to another
  • New: Mapview: Ctrl+up/down increases/decreases the node maximum node width. Width is grid specific
  • Fixed: Mapview: Display orientation is not saved (left-right vs up/down)
  • Fixed: Mapview: Ctrl+= an Ctrl+- keyboard shortcut, to expand / collapse items, do not work
  • Fixed: Mapview: Icons are not shown correctly
  • Fixed: Mapview: Print Preview was broken in the previous version
  • Fixed: Mapview: Hyperlinks were no longer working
  • Fixed: Mapview: Item text is not updated when changes are made in other grids
  • Fixed: Mapview: Items are not deleted when deleted in other grids
  • Fixed: Ctrl+Tab to switch tab sometimes opens the Manage grid dialog
  • Fixed: Hyperlinks to grids : broken
  • Fixed: Pressing Shift immediately after Enter could open the pop-up editor
  • Fixed: When many grids were opened, GDI usage was too high
  • Change: To improve performance, pressing Enter creates a new item but no longer automatically enter Edit mode. Simply start typing to begin Edit.
  • Fixed: Clipping window can sometimes take a long time to open. Occurs if the Wikitag field has >10000 items.
  • Fixed: Keyboard navigation between tabs/panes bug
  • Workaround: In Win 8, the universal clipper does not work correctly, presumably due to some security restrictions. Users now have a workaround: Simply hit Ctrl+C before hitting the clipper hotkey.
Enjoy !

note: I'll be on holidays for the next 2 weeks, cycling the roads of southern France and Corsica. 2 years since my last real holidays... Wish me nice weather !!!

I'll wish you nice weather all right  - you'll probably be okay so long as you stay south though.
Go a bit north and the weather deteriorates - it's been poor for a good while now with no sign of letting up (I can live with it - I grew up with rain...)

Have a wonderful vacation, Pierre. Those hills in Corsica can be work. Glad to see you back on the bike again. I loved it though. As I'm sure you know, the Bordeaux region & further south is just beautiful with the flower fields, etc.

Hi Pierre:

I too hope you are enjoying your vacation. Returning to something you love after an extended period of deprivation is indescribable.

I am happy to report that version 10 seems more responsive. On the other hand (you know this was coming) the issue I wrote about here is not resolved. I have also tried toggling Auto Edit to no avail. By the way, can someone please explain what Auto Edit does?

Thank you.

With auto-edit when you e.g. tab into a field it is automatically in edit mode.
I dont use it myself but help/the-manual says:

"In Auto-edit, you can't really surf on your items, cursor movements automatically trigger an edit.
Ecco was always in auto-edit, so it is there for ex-Ecco users"
(page 3.1.1.2)
